Discovering Trentino Alto Adige, along a ridge of vivid emotions and sublime sensations. We start at Lake Garda, one of the most iconic and important in Italy, which bathes no less than 3 regions. On the northern shore of the lake, stands Camping Maroadi, which directly overlooks the large beach that connects Torbole sul Garda and Riva del Garda, surrounded by the magnificent mountain slopes that frame the very majestic Lake of Garda.
Suitable for families with their children seeking rest and quiet, this campsite is ideal for sports enthusiasts of windsurfing, sailing, mountain biking, hiking, free-climbing and canyoning.
Gliding farther northeast, amid fiery sunsets and streams flowing to freedom, one comes across Camping Mario Village, which overlooks Lake Caldonazzo. In this piece of Eden you can find open-air pitches with comfortable accommodations, a stunning heated pool and a new play area for the little ones, plus plenty of entertainment and activities.
Not far away, nestled in the mountains on a peninsula of Lake Caldonazzo, in a quiet area of the village of Calceranica, is Camping Fleiola. Direct access to the lake and a 300-meter private beach make it the ideal place for a totally relaxing vacation, while its small size makes it a quiet and private place. The lake, is an excellent base for bicycle and walking trips. Also in this area is the Lake Levico Camping Village, nestled on the shores of the lake of the same name and loved by families with children, couples, sports lovers and groups of friends. The campsite borders the Valsugana bike path.
From these wonderful campsites, setting off and exploring Trentino will be a breeze. Mandatory stop at Lake Resia, better known as the place “where the steeple comes out of the water.” The steeple in question is that of Curon Venosta Vecchia. Lake Brailes is also an unmissable rarity, a natural paradise right in the heart of the Dolomites, where you can hike and enjoy breathtaking views.
The capital is Trento, surrounded by magnificent medieval castles. In the city center, particularly striking is Piazza Duomo with the Basilica of San Vigilio, but also Palazzo Pretorio and the Civic Tower, with the majestic mountains behind. Before enjoying the famous Tyrolean gnocchetti or strangolapreti alla trentina, there are two important museums to visit: the Muse and the MART. Almost on the border with Austria are then its enchanted valleys. Val Gardena and Val Badia. Frequented especially in winter by skiers, they offer descents for all tastes and experience levels, as well as tasty typical dishes such as canederli, to be enjoyed at the mountain hut in the ski break between mulled wine.
